Overhanging Branches

As the leaves fill out, and the new years growth extends the shoots on the branches, they tend to droop. Mid June to early July is a great time to take a look at trees around your buildings and see if those drooping branches could cause problems. I usually recommend at least 5ft of clearance, though we often trim a lot further. If possible it is good to structure prune the tree so that it will grow away from the building rather than towards it. A well done trim can look great, and save money down the road by preventing roof, eves trough, and siding damage.
